David studied at Central Saint Martins in London. He is an award-winning creative director – and the founder of Lane & Associates as well as the creative director of the food, arts and culture journal The Gourmand.
From 2016 to 2021 he was the creative director of Frieze.
His work has been covered in publications such as The Guardian, Le Monde and Die Zeit and exhibited globally, including at the Design Museum in London. He has judged numerous industry awards and been invited to speak at creative seminars and conferences worldwide.
He is a contributing editor to ES magazine, and has written for publications such as New York, Apartamento, i–D and Esquire. As a visiting lecturer, he has taught at leading arts institutions including Central Saint Martins, ECAL and the London College of Fashion.
